Brightdawn Academy

The Brightdawn Academy is a university and research organisation located mainly in Zheford with a focus on archaeology and ancient history. While its students usually specialise in the history of Syollan people, often studying the Shadow Age or the Days Before Memory, some decide to go further back and study Elphead civilisation. The academy is not particularly well-known, but it is regarded as a good school, especially if one’s interests lie in early Syollan history.
Its crest bears the colours of Amridge, blue and silver, and shows a black lantern casting a wide light. It is said that the Academy was established not long after the Dawn (hence the name), although these claims have been disputed and there is no proof that fully supports either position.
The Formidable Disparates, then a freshly-formed group, encountered the remains of a small group of researchers that had been sent to investigate a strange door discovered in south-eastern Miennach. The researchers had found a way to open the door, but were all killed by a mad spectator that was guarding something within.
