The Summitstone Mining Company has greatly profited by acquiring mines rich in iron, gemstones, crystals, minerals, and precious metals from the Ironfang Mountains. The remnants of an ancient, dead supervolcano, The Ironfangs have extremely abundant subterranean resources.

The Ironpeak Line
The Dwarven mines and towns in The Ironpeak mountains are connected by a monorail line. Caravans of supply-laden railcars and accompanying crew transport goods along the mountains, connecting all the city-state capitals in The Great Valley. The Summitstone Mining Company has focused on procuring properties located along the Ironpeak line to ensure that supplies and products can easily be transported. They've made great profits by investing in the infrastructure needed to create successful railyards and reliable caravans. As the Ironpeak Line was a joint financial venture paid for by all three city-states, there are stops along The Ironpeak Line for towns and properties not owned by The Summitstone Mining Company.Company Caravans
The Summitstone Mining Company invests in large, well-secured caravans to bring the agricultural bounty from the valley's farms and ranches to feed, clothe and supply the many Dwarves that live within Summitstone Hold. A typical caravan consists of a caravan leader, a scouting team, a cook, a supply master, and a nurse.The Company Town
Summitstone Hold is a subterranean mining town with a fortified cliff face carved into a nearly impossible-to-climb edifice of impressive proportions. Summitstone is designed to house the entire merchant house during the harshest weeks of winter when it is not safe or practical to inhabit the more remote settlements. While there is healthy competition among vendors in The Market Square, the most popular store in town is The Summitstone Mining Company's General Store. It is hard to undercut the Company store's prices, but they only carry large quantities of limited, basic supplies. Specialty goods are better found among independent storefronts.Company Benefits
No employee of The Summitstone Mining Company pays for medical care, as the company covers all costs and salaries for The Healing Center. Anyone, employed or a visitor, can make use of the healing center at no charge. The nurses that work there are not motivated by profits.
