Much to the disappointment of her parents her mother chose to keep the pregnancy and would not reveal the father. Despite her pregnancy, she marries her intended husband and has another child later on with him. Agatha's mother has always suspected that both her parents and husband wanted to rid themselves of Agatha and in response, she keeps her with her near constantly.
