The History of The Disputed Lands so far
Once dragons were found throughout the world as quasi-deities ruling over the humanoids, but after most of the magic was stripped from the world, they were greatly weakened. The deities seeing this, seized the chance to make this world unique from the other planes and banished the dragons to the land behind the mountains and destroyed the remains of their empire.
Current Species & Cultures
On the two continents, there are a variety of sovereignties and ethnicities made up of humans, tieflings , aasimar , and people touched by either elemental or fei magic. In the south of Istervyn , there are elves, creatures that crossed from a portal from Feiri to this plane. The dragons and their humanoid servants, the dragonblessed, live in northeast Istervyn. Extraplanar beings like elementals, fei, fiends, or celestials sometimes make their way to this world from their home planes.
Needs & Relations
Humanoids are often driven by the pursuit of political power, resources, and promoting or fufilling the will of a deity or quasi-deity. Dragonblessed are mainly motivated by the desires of their draconic masters. Dragons often desire praise and glorification and often compete with each other. Extraplanar beings pursue the goals of and follow instructions set forth by their quasi-deity ruler.
