Senior Magician of Katrapetch
The Senior Magician of Katrapetch (often called the Senior Magician, or even just the Senior) was the leader of the Arcane Advisors within the Court Circle of Katrapetch. Like the role of Raja, the Senior Magician was always a man, in line with the strict patriarchal traditions of the city.
The cover illustration shows Reldsor Paraveld, one famous holder of the post who had the role for 78 years between 5889 and 5811 BPC in the age of the Long Thaw.
