Kaori Zan was the partner of the fey Queen Iceina Lanti and the father of Quathooma Xinva. He died before the queen in a hunting accident in the The Autumn Country where he had travelled with a small group of friends. They were set upon by a pack of Mist Wolves and his reactions and magical knowledge proved to be unexpectedly insufficient to save him from the surprise attack.
