Johanus Grey
Johanus Grey was the founder of the political party known as the Far Greys, a group of merchants and ship owners operating from the town of Greystow in the mid seventeenth century APC.
He was born into the extended dynasty of the Grey family as the youngest nephew of Garald Grey and was reputed to bear a considerable likeness to his illustrious uncle, the founder of the Deep Greys.
After the death of Garald Grey in 1639 APC, his immediate successors who took control over the Deep Greys were less astute leaders who failed to achieve a consensus which could resolve the often competing priorities of mining and other local trading interests.
Johanus created his breakaway faction in 1654 APC, which left a lasting legacy on the politics of Greystow and stabilised regional government.
