Deep Greys
The Deep Greys are a political party from the settlement of Greystow which was constituted by Garald Grey in 1607 APC, only a few years after the granting of the town charter. They represent the interests of mine owners and have always been associated with the major aristocratic families who founded the settlement.
The name of the party derives both from the literal depths where its leaders obtain their wealth and from the metaphorical deepness of their connection to the main Grey family line, the fortunes of family and party being intimately associated.
Culture
The Deep Greys, represent a traditional and aristocratic attitude to government which is usually contrasted with the more flexible politics of their great rivals, the Far Greys. But in the many centuries of their existence, there have been occasional periods when the party adopted more radical policies.
