Intervention Angels

Only a single representitive of these beings has ever been seen by humanity when a Chariot Class Ascendant Ship (as named by its pilot) arrived in Earth orbit in 2721 AF. The sole traveller declared that it should be addressed as the "envoy" and that it was a member of a species that called themselves the intervention angels.
The envoy and the intervention angels (if indeed others exist, as they presumably must) do not appear to be part of the Galactic Compact, a fact which also makes them almost unique amongst all the alien species encountered to the present day (although this is also true of the Aetherians). The intervention angels have been grouped with the Galactic Compact species in this overview, merely because they inhabit the same reality, at least in part.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Intervention Angels are like no other form of life encountered before or since. In so far as obervers were able to determine from the limited amount of contact with the creature it appeared not to be made of normal baryonic matter but instead to function using some kind of interdimensional flux field not dissimilar in principle from the kinds used in an advanced fusion tap but infinitely more subtle and constantly shifting in frequency and energy level.

Major Organizations

The image at the head of the article was released by the envoy and purports to be a meeting of the Judgement Host for the Laniakea Supercluster, the agency the envoy said that it represents. Whilst there is no way of verifying this claim, the general morphology of the beings depicted is similar to that of the envoy, and the statement could be true for all we know.

Average Technological Level

The starship in which the envoy travelled was demonstrably far in advance of anything seen by humans in the Galactic Compact and this is reported to have inspired a sense of awe in the observers which lent credence to the envoy's messages.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

The envoy spoke in the languages of Earth. It seems clear that some knowledge of the language(s) of the intervention angels would have been invaluable for the task of translating the assigned codex but very little was learned at the time of the visit and now it is too late.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

The envoy claimed not to represent its species alone, but to be an indirect messenger from God. Perhaps God was a mistranslation but it certainly caused a good deal of consternation at the time of the visit. Humans were told that the intervention angels had direct access to the power behind the universe and were able to mediate between the supreme being and the species of this and other galaxies. It was very hard to know how much faith to place in this statement and it remains an unproven assertion, although it is difficult to know how such an assertion could ever be proven.
