Gwen Oxford was the Darkest Umbral of the Justice of the Shadows between 4731 APC and 4739 APC.
Although this was a period of only eight years, she is considered one of the most important leaders of the cult because of her success in saving the organisation during a period of intense persecution and striking back at the heart of its enemies.

Gwen Oxford became the Darkest Umbral at a time when the Cities Under Grace on Tinturbean and the Purifiers Guild, also on Tinturbean but operating more widely througout the world, had identified and executed many members of the Justice of the Shadows. She inflitrated the Purifiers Guild at Greystow and poisoned many of their leaders, also destroying an important part of their records. Although she was herself identified and slain whilst trying to escape prison, her actions allowed the Justice of the Shadows to regroup and replan when they were on the verge of extinction.
