Crown of the Rani

The Crown of the Rani belonged to whoever was the current Rani of Katrapetch and was traditionally gifted to her in a crowning ceremony which might be held either immediately after her marriage to an existing Raja or shortly after the ascent of her husband to the throne, if the marriage had already taken place whilst he was still the heir.   The silver crown is decorated with square cut saphires and was traditionally worn by the Rani on ceremonial occasions.

History

The Crown of the Rani was originally made by Yanavik Jecinth, the Senior Magician of Katrapetch on the orders of the third Raja, Dravindra Rholab for his second wife Aadhila Rholab.
