Alistair Browne
Alistair Browne was the first Arcane Chancellor of the Institute of Magical Analytics, a post he held from 12th Chiroth, 2280 APC to his death on 3rd Mald, 2328 APC. Born in the Aerial Court city of Highloft in 2183 APC he showed great talent in the magical arts from an early age, joining the Society of Arcane Adepts whilst he was still in his teens.
He moved to Quarowl as a young man in his forties and quickly made a name for himself as a trusted advisor to the Arch Baron.
When the Baronial Moot voted to create the Institute of Magical Analytics in 2280 AF he was the best candidate to lead it and oversaw many important milestones in the foundation and development of the early institute. His greatest regret was the schism of 2291 APC that saw a significant fraction of his collegues leave to form the Free Union of Magical Scholars at Greystow, following a former close friend James McPerril.
