Cenochitlan
Hidden in the heart of the savannahs of Colossus lies Cenochitlan. An ancient civilization found at the bottom of a natural well. It's deceptively large once inside with caverns stretching for miles. This network was created over centuries perhaps spanning multiple millenia. Every tunnel has unique purpose, some are for homes others for craft or trade. However all are dedicated to the Barkscale dragon, the roots of life. The structuring is odd from outside perspective and lacking direction. Some tunnels intersect almost meaninglessly to an outsider. Those that live down in Cenchitlan are equally unique. They call themselves Thri-Kreen they are a sapient and insectoid creatures. Their language is derived from clicking and chittering, with emotion being communicated through pheromones. They are primarily hunter gatherer types only supporting themselve with a form of farming through the barren seasons. These beings are almost entirely self sufficient and do not rely on trade to survive though some of the Orc tribes have been known to trade resources with the Thri-Kreen. Though this is rare as they (Thri-Kreen) are mostly nocturnal in nature. Nuetral as they are an existance as long as theirs has made them aloof if not openly hostile to things they would consider alien. While this protects them from threats it also makes equally threatening to everything else.
