Florence East (a.k.a. Flo)
Florence East, more commonly known as Flo, is the former Queen of the Seafolk, responsible for the dissolution of the monarchy. These days, she's more commonly found in her café on Mermaiden's Haven, trying to live a quiet life and distance herself from her family's past.
She is the mother to two daughters, Ignacia and Maya, and partner of Karl Thorpe.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Florence is a tall woman with a rectangular frame and a generally fit build, she sports a head of voluminous black (but greying) hair with loose curls, usually tied back into a large ponytail.
While generally fit, she occasionally uses a walking stick as her height and age can make her a little unsteady on her feet when tired.

Motivation
Flo is, these days, happy to live a quiet uneventful life, running her café, helping her neighbours and just generally relaxing, she used to have much more significant motivations.
Her mother, Evalyn East, was unhappy with the unearned position of power that her inherited seat as queen had given her, and spent a significant amount of her reign slowly reducing her power and granting more direct independence to each island. Florence and her younger sister Seabrook both inherited a similar mindset, Flo much more so. When Evalyn stepped down to retire, Flo stepped up and took this mindset with her, turning it into a goal of completely dissolving the monarchy.
After years of work, she finally dissolved the monarchy and moved to her new peaceful life.

Wealth & Financial state
While she previously held significant inherited wealth, the vast majority was given up when Florence dissolved the Royal Family. These days, her main wealth is in her café which she invested almost all of the resources she retained after the dissolution. The café is reasonably successful, getting enough to keep itself and the family afloat comfortably, with any excess being split between savings and being put back into the local community.
