Progress Class Land Clearance Vehicle

Daxu presents many logistical problems for the vast urbanisation initiatives that have come along with the age of information. Now that we are able to synthesise virtually anything with components and red amber power there has been population explosions and the vast migration of labour from the farms to the factories, these things need land, and land on Daxu that isn't covered in trees is an absolute premium reserved for farmlands and the ultra rich.
In the case of Jadetown, The Daxian Enclave decided to build above the forest leaving the old town intact and creating a beautiful city of glass, but in the case of Oaken Rift one of the more heavily populated and industrialised cities on Daxu the only choice was to clear the land, and for that a new class of vehicle was created.
Developed entirely on Daxu these vehicles were designed with one thing in mind, to eat land, chew it up, filter it and spit the rest out. As the burn-gangs cleared vegetation and animal life from the surrounding areas of Oaken Rift the LCVs come in and destroy the top 5m of earth ready for concrete to be laid on top.
The spoil is filtered for minerals and precious stones, and the soil packaged for artificial farm factories, in fact some of it is even exported off world. Some planets value the soil of Daxu highly for artisanal purposes.
