Isocania

The Human nation of Isocania endevours to maintain as much high society as possible, but mostly is intrerested in industry and production of goods.

Isocania Government and Society:

Isocania is a Plutocracy, government of the rich, the Guild Conclave oversees the running of national business. The great houses of business are given a seat on the conclave based on the reports of their earnings and holdings. Most houses show signs of wealth by the patronizing of various arts, healers and educational institutaions.

Architecture:

Two distinct architectural influences are in play in Isocania. One is the use of hometrees, a strange magical treee that grows from seed to over 150 ft in one year and maintains that size for generations. They are prized, they are sold and purchased at a kings ransom. Giant tree houses are constructed in them and they are known for providing health benefits to those who sleep within.   The other style is comprised of family compounds like roman or arabic architectures that focus on courtyards with rooms arranged around the outer walls. Often with a xystus (open air hallways sourrounding the courtyards) where morning stretches are performed and men and women sit to play various forms of Nort or Selen.

Food, Goods, Imports and Exports:

Known for it’s cheese production in the northern areas, and fruit orchards in the east. The south produces a wide variety of medicinal herbs, while the western area has the star saphire mines around the Ruins of the glass castle.

Culture, Clothing and Holidays:

Nearly everyone wears the same thing, fine fitted or gathered wool. Red, orange, and navy dyes are common and popular with an abundance of embroidery.   Some of the population worships Thrir the god of thunder, while others worship Mammnon the god of prosperity and virility. The High Priest of Thrir is Koil, and the High Priest of Mammnon is Tevek Snovin the Third. The high priest of Thrir is 115 years old and his birthday is celebrated with great festivity. Retellings of important events, gathering of children for games, and the fortelling of the next year’s future.   The winter brings with it the festival of lights and purification. The eating of dried fruit in pies, accompanied with candlelight parades and music, and ritual dabbing of water behind the ears completes the evening of this special holiday.
