Dependency of Golim

The Dependency of Golim, is a dependency of Shovamhon. It maintains its own duchies and security forces, but pays taxes and implements overall laws from Shovamhon. The only reason it was made a dependency instead of completely conquered was due to the over-extension of troops as New Minam was beginning to make moves against Bellflower as a whole. This allowed most local officials to remain intact and most rules to be observed. Hishat remains the capitol of the dependency.

Structure

The Ducal Council of Golim reports to the Satrap of Golim who is appointed by the Grand Counselor of Shovamhon with approval of the Council of Green. The local Marchons report to the Dukes of the council.

Culture

The clothing of the Golimites is typically made of cotton and felted mulberry fibers. Both genders wear pants and shirts with a variety of gradient patterns. The upper class wearing complex vests with vibrant decorated patterns.   The common architecture of is comprised of timber beam construction with stone walls for hearths. The use of hot stone saunas and hot springs baths around towns is also very common.   Weekly community meals with multiple courses are a frequent celebration. This is doubly so after harvest is complete with most communities having parties to preserve the harvest with pies, breads, and fried foods. Honors are given during these festivals, while children often compete at races.    The festival of the Farmer King takes place in spring with prayers for a good harvest, chanting planting songs and naked runs through the frosty spring waters. This remembrance of the farmhand who became king is a great tale of a reversal of fate, and children will wear clothing backwards as they run and play.
