House of Daher
The noble house most heavily invested in Samarra’s military but prefer to be in the field than in overall command. They lead most of the forces that campaign against the Giantkin in the north and help defend the Greenfold. Their estate is within a separate canyon on the northside of Samarra. Originally an exclusively halfling house they began a tradition of dog-back cavaliers, however the small stature of Manadh humans and the breeding of larger dogs have opened this tradition to a wider pool of applicants. Their Kennel-Halls dot the Greenfold and sally forth to aid villagers in distress. It is also an open rumor that the House has significant Elven heritage though the details of that ancestry are purely speculation.
Structure
They are a militaristic organization with a family at its head. Upward mobility is primarily determined by battle prowess and tactics. The highest ranking members tend to have multiple successful campaigns under their belts.

Notable Members:
Lady Jahan Daher. Matriarch of the House, strict and perpetually angry looking woman. Renowned warrior and killer of Giants.
Lady Kinaana Almasi. Reclusive sister of Lady Jahan. Husband died before son, Hype Almasi, was born and very protective of said son.
Hype Almasi. Son of Lady Kinaana Almasi, forbidden from training as warrior and did so in spite of this. Left in the middle of the night with his pet Rosh to pursue his dream of being a giant-hunting warrior of House Daher.
Badri Daher. Cousin of Hype Almasi and his childhood friend/confidant. Junior Outrider of House Daher

The Raven Clan and House Daher made an alliance in the Blood Giant War and have continued that alliance with trade ever since. While its too soon to see if such an alliance will stick, both leaders are hopeful.
