The Straits Of Sfarin

Between Omwela and Tresh, there exist The Straits Of Sfarin, encircling the large island of Hienvels. The water is notably shallow and cold, as it is linked with currents in The empty sea, and it is notable calm making it a haven for marine life most of the time. Not always, though, as regularly every two and a half years, the straits freeze over with ice, creating a land bridge between the continents.

History

The Kyrsgesiri likely arrived in tresh thousands of years ago via crossing the sfarin land bridge, migrating across the continents.

The waterway was named for sevoln sfarin, the explorer who first sailed it, as a tribute to her after her death.
