The Southern Plains
The Southern Plains are a region of Marquest known for its rich farming soil which provide agricultural exports to much of Traith. It is as much unsettled as it is settled but they are peaceful lands.
Many different species of animals, humanoids, and plant life can be found living on these plains. Many of Traith's halflings call this region home as these lands speak to their hearts and their fundamental love farming. The halflings of Pascant are famous for the strains of Cannabis grown on their plantations. The Southern Plains are the perfect conditions for the cultivation cannabis which is one of the region's main exports.
Located near the center of the Plains the Luxill Krag mountains rise towards the heavens with the Luxillmeir forest resting at their base. The Dwarven settlement of Luxillmar is carved from the face of the southern most mountain.
The humans of the region have built several settlements along the regoins coastline. These ports handle all of the region's seafaring exports as well as outpost for the navies that serve the local communities.
The Gnomes who have made their these lands their home have contributed to regions success also. These Gnomes like their cousins in Glendeiril are master tinkers and have made revolutionary advances in the farming and agricultural industries.
Working in tandem with the each other other these species have come together to create a well balanced society.

History
The first halflings to arrive on Traith arrived on the Southern Plains and their bloodlines can still be found toiling the soil to this day. These peaceful lands haven't seen much in the ways of wars through the ages. Having remained neutral in most major conflicts of Marquest and the rest of Traith for that matter. During the dark time of Zarpurazz's divine rule over the continent of Toroum the people of Pascant secretly violated their neutrality and would commission Smuggler crews to smuggle food goods and other supplies to the oppressed people of Toroum.
