Whispering of Madness: There are no texts that are written to preach the madness of destruction, rather those that are targeted by The Endless' influence will often have its words shoved into their minds that will either break them or corrupt them to its teachings to spread to others as its emissary and prophet.

Jagged Spiral: A distorted spiral that lacks the smooth spin that represents the connection of the cosmos in all things, instead its twisted and crippled appearance shows the corrupted nature that comes with The Endless' willingness to see all things become undone and ruined.

The Endless has no true form that can be described often changing shape at will, being unable to focus itself into a final form as it moves from one form to another.

Personal history

What Came Before

Not much is none of what came before the cosmos' existence, with many believing that only darkness existed with no life within it. Yet after The First brought creation to all things, another being soon came after; whether it came before or after existence, none can say, only that its power over the void seemed endless, and thus it was named as such. From what legends are told about it is often the representation of darkness and madness with a desire to see creation torn apart. One can only guess why such a powerful being sought to destroy the cosmos in the first place, yet it might be just that its mind couldn't comprehend the idea of existence when it came into being, resulting in its mind breaking upon its birth. This has only caused torment and destruction upon creation as it has attempted to bring down the order and unravel all its creator has accomplished with it.
It was due to The Endless' chaotic rampage that The First intervened to halt any further destruction to its beloved cosmos. This resulted in a deadly clash between the two that spanned countless eons, and the cosmos was constantly being reshaped by it. Every time The First seemed close to victory, The Endless would escape by using its power to warp reality and find another place to cause harm to it. Madness and chaos spread across the cosmos without end as countless worlds and stars were consumed by it. Nothing seemed to halt the horror that this entity brought ruin to everything it touched, yet hope remained to see this unrelenting forced to halt in its tracks.

Trapping of The Madness

The First tried as it might stop its counterpart, but could not defeat The Endless as its power rivaled its own, only keeping it at bay for a time before it eventually returned. As for The Endless, it thrived in this constant struggle knowing that the cosmos would fall to pieces no matter the outcome of its clashes with The First. Yet it failed to understand that no matter how hard it tried to destroy reality itself, The First would rebuild what was lost continuing a cycle that was going to last for all eternity. This would not be the outcome, however, as the First knew that the madness had to end and, with his pow, er, created servants to turn the tide in its favor, founding the Order of the Cosmos and its protectors the Overlords and the Judicators of the Cosmos. It was through them that the Endless was finally pushed back from tearing apart everything and was forced to retreat.
From this moment, The Endless became more unstable with the fear that it would not be able to end all creation, spreading its power to the farthest reaches of the cosmos in an attempt to tear it all down at once. However, this would be its undoing as it only weakened its consciousness by using so much of its power, allowing the protectors of the Cosmos to set a plan in motion to trap The Endless. Knowing that The Endless could not be truly defeated as its power was too great, it was decided that it would be easier to cut away at its consciousness to weaken it and seal the smaller pieces of it away in its current state. After a great struggle with the order The Endless was finally defeated as its consciousness was scattered across the stars into almost nothingness where it could not harm existence ever again. However in the end the madness it bore could not be contained and would spread like a disease subconsciously wherever life existed, with it attaching itself to minds that were easily influenced by it becoming followers fo ruination, with stronger pieces of it altering reality to create monstrosities that would bring terror in the name of their progenitor all with the desire to return it back into existence to finish what it started.

It does not matter how long The Endless has been put to rest, its influence still lingers wherever part of the cosmos one might find oneself for its power cannot be contained. Madness itself cannot be so easily undone for once its influence spreads it is often contagious to those who witness it, making those around it long enough to find what once was insane to be sane. Unknowing is a pawn of a much greater force that seeks to bring an end to all things in one way or another.
