Its main need is sunlight which keeps it healthy with only a little water to ensure it doesn’t wither. As long as it has long amounts of sunlight it will not wither and die. It can survive for at least two days without it, but afterward it will wither up as its light becomes due and wither away.

Healing Miracle
It is said that when the jungle was young, it held a friendship with the sun, it gifted it a piece of itself so that they could always treasure that friendship, the herb came from it, and with it the gift of life it gives. - Tikasa ShamanThe Sun Dew Herb is considered a sacred plant that is only taken when needed, for it is a giver of life and a cleanser of the spirit. It is a plant that is taken at one whim or wasted on minor problems. Only the Tikasa tribes can find where the herb glows, making it all the more rare for it to be used. It is considered a last resort for anyone if normal medicines cannot be used to heal and cure those that are given it are often those that need it the most.
This is lovely! I found this one sentence confusing: It is a plant that is taken at one whim or wasted on minor problems. -- and I really wanted to know! The sentence before says that it is only taken when needed because it is sacred. Does this mean that it should only be taken when needed but that people often take it on a whim? Just a fascinating idea that captured my interest.
My mistake consider I just wanted to write as fast as I can, it means that the plant is sacred and should be used sparingly due to its rarity and properties, it should not be used often only in the more dire of circumstances, not minor wounds or illness
I hear you. That's one of the challenges of summer camp, for sure. Sounds like a wonderful plant!
