Spiralosis
I'm serious right now you need to hold off on the flights for a little while you can barely stand right now at the rate you are going, you just cause the plane to spin out f control is you do! - Concerned Doctor
Causes
It is cause is caused by over exhaustion and too much time behind a aircraft that causes the brain to lose its sense of balance.
Symptoms
- Dizziness
- Lack of balance
- Blurry vision
- Nausea
Treatment
It is best often to stay on the ground for a while and avoid flying until the brain has time recuperate
Prognosis
If left uncheck for too long it will cause the victim to lose depth perception and sense of direction and sudden blackout.
Affected Groups
It often affect pilots of aircraft as they can be disoriented if they spend too much time flying.
Prevention
It best for pilots to to take a break from flying once in a while in order from them to regain their footing and be able to move properly by walking around more.
History
The first cases of this condition were seen with much later in the aircraft development as pilots were spending much more time on their planes rather than on the ground. In doing so it had caused them to suffer the effects that would see them unfit for flight. Those who ignored these condition and refused aid often got themselves into accidents and sometimes killed in doing so with the lives of their passengers as well. A higher amount of cases would be seen during times of war as pilots were need in the air for long periods of time to the point that they would have to be bedridden and kept locked up until they were mentally sound.
Cultural Reception
Though people want to help them get better, many people consider them no longer able to properly fly a aircraft again as they could relapse at any time and endanger lives if they not too careful. But some are still gen the chance to fly once more as they are better monitored then in the past.
