They often live underground rather then the surface.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are known to be notorious ambush predators and do so by being underground. Of course rather then going to the surface to catch their food, their tongue does all of the work. The tongue does not look like a tongue at all and instead a gorgeous flower. Which holds a pleasant fragrance with as well. Causing unsuspecting animals to go near it and try to eat it. But before they realize it they caught by the tongue and cannot get away no matter how much they struggle as the saliva of the snatcher is like super glue and is difficult break free from. Once the prey is secure it is dragged underground and eaten.

They only move from their hunting ground when food is scarce. They shed old scales as they dig their tunnels.
