Dune Glider Racing is a very old sport that was first created around the time Anti Gravity modules were invented half way through the Age of Sparks. Of course someone had the bright idea of making a Dune Glider and daring their friends to race across the desert. Soon this simple race got the attention of more and more people as they started to grow in numbers. It became a popular sport in many desert countries as it was hard do any sport really when there is nothing but sand. These events did not reach a global stage for a little while though as they were did not get much off a flowing in the early days. But as major corporations began to spread their influence globally they began to expand into the sports industry as way of competition with one another to show off their products and to rub it the losers faces.

The Grand Stage

The founding of the National Association of Glider Racing or N.A.G.R for short brought the world into the thrills and spills of the desert faces and caught on rather quickly due to the exotic atmosphere and the excitement it brought. Racer were sponsored to support their products and in return they were funded and given the best gear money could buy. Competition were held all across the world where there were deserts and leagues were created to determine the skill of racers. The higher they went up the more fame and fortune they would receive. But in doing so the stakes were raised to please the crowds as racer faced many dangers while racing across the desert. Leaving the sport become a win or die trying competition where only those who survive could win the become champion in the hope they could race in the greatest race of them all, The Endless Sands. To be in that meant you were with the best of the best and to win would mean that you’re name would go down in history for all to know. The trophy also makes a nice memento as well, if you can fit it in your room of course.
