Tribal Human

Tribal Humans are known to be strong, fierce, and extremely capable hunters. There are hundreds of tribes of humans in the world, and each tribe varies wildly in customs, cultures, skills and beliefs. They tend to be thought of as the least sophisticated and most primitive people in the world, aside from the Orcs.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Most Tribal Humans speak Helvan, although Helvan itself is not a full language but a bastardized version of Elvish, each dialect between tribes is a little different. A few tribes' dialect of Helvan is actually closer to Elvish than it is to most Helvan dialects.

Average technological level

Most tribal humans get by with stone and wood tools, leather, pottery, and basic cordage they forage from the land and hunted animals. It usually isn't very sophisticated, or durable.

Common Dress code

Almost all of the tribes dress in crudely stitched leather.

Art & Architecture

Pottery, cave paintings, and some wood/bone totems. Tribal Humans do tend to have an appreciation for music too, though their instruments tend to be more on the bone flute and leather drum side of things than lyres and more elegant instruments.

Coming of Age Rites

Many Tribal Humans have a coming of age rite for their children. While they do vary quite a bit, it's quite common for them to involve a hunt, or perhaps a ceremonial fight. For some of the more dangerous tribes, attacking another tribe and killing someone can often be a rite of passage as well. Some tribes have rites of passage that don't involve violence, but these are far less common.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Most tribal humans bury their dead. The specific customs involved with this practice varies wildly from tribe to tribe. Many don't do anything beyond throwing the dead body in a hole and covering it. Some wrap the dead in furs. Some bury them close to a tree. Some choose to not bury the dead of enemies as a sign of disrespect. Some don't bury anyone ever.
