Nallin Vanyal - DECEASED

Nallin Vanyal

Nallin of House Vanyal is the only half human son of Vanyal, the Elven man who built all of the Ships for the High elves.   Not having an ounce of magic in his body, he was unable to learn how to be a druid like his father and ended up training as a Ranger with the Wood Elf Rangers of Sonapra.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

With a lithe, well-trained body, he stands at a slightly below-average height but with strong back muscles from firing his longbow. He looks ready to run a marathon at all times.

Facial Features

His eyes watch and study even when his smile is plastered on his face.

Identifying Characteristics

Multiple piercings on his eyebrows and a claw mark scar going down his chest.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Nallin is a half-elf who has a memory that rivals many. Able to learn every civilized language by the time he was 15 his father realized he might have success as an ambassador for the elves. As such he decided to send him to Sonapra to learn the ways of a druid so he might defend himself should anything bad happen.   Unfortunately, Nallin struggled and inevitably failed as he never had a drop of magic in his body, and that did not change during his training. Fortunately for him, when he was taking out his frustrations on a training dummy a ranger noticed that he had some semblance of skill in fighting. After the ranger, Vivo, took him in for training she was delighted to find he learned her lessons almost instantly as he was able to traverse the forest without difficulty within months; something that had taken her years to finally figure out.   Three years passed while he trained and honed his skills under Vivo until the day that would set him off on his inevitable adventure.

Sexuality

Heterosexual

Education

He has a deep understanding of Elvish history from lessons with his father growing up and he trained in martial prowess with the Wood-elves for a few years; Adding onto his many years of sparring with Arael it was more than enough time for his sharp mind to get a good grasp on how to handle himself.

Employment

Ambassador in Training for the High Elves. Key member in the defense of New Crescendo and the war with the Orcs.

Mental Trauma

Nallin watched as his mother was killed by what he assumed could only be monsters. After being taken in by his father he was quickly convinced that monsters were a myth and it was only a childhood fantasy that his mind came up with to figure out what exactly had happened to his mother.   He failed to catch an ambush and Roycorwyn died because of it. When he came to from nearly dying he couldn't bring himself to look at Royce's body and attempted to shove it down and be practical so he didn't have to think about it.

Intellectual Characteristics

Nallin has a near Eidetic memory. If he pays attention to it, there's a high chance he will be able to remember it. Mix that in with his natural adaptability to situations and he is able to pick up skills in significantly shorter times than most.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

He desperately wants to create a legacy for himself that will last through the ages because he knows he will die of old age.  Unless somehow he was able to gain immortality he would never be able to be a "Normal High Elf."

Hygiene

He keeps himself as clean as he can be; Both to not hinder his social status and hamper his ability in politics but to also keep himself from giving off any scent for the enemy to latch onto.

Social

Family Ties

He is the son of Vanyal, the High elf and one of the greatest druids in the world. He created the legendary Living Ships of the High elves.   His brother Cintas is the head of the guard for the conductress himself.

Religious Views

He views Chaos as a sort of quasi deity.  After all, if something resides within us and almost seems to be alive with how it moves and reacts then how could it not be?

A man of many worlds, Nallin is a Half-Elf from Orchestria who was found by his father upon the death of his mother. Finishing up his Training as a Ranger after his failure to learn magic he hears tale of problems around Orchestria.

The Month of Hell

It only took a few weeks before we had the first couple of casualties of the war and it wasn't even from the enemy. Royce came with us to hunt down the guards we had brought along with us. We tracked them down but ended up somehow walking into an ambush of humans. I have no idea how they even evaded me! Royce tried to do some insane plan of his that never would've worked. Sure enough, the lot of us nearly died. Royce, unfortunately, managed to expertly evade the nearly of that statement. I don't fully know how he did other than when I came to he was already dead. His skull was caved in and I didn't know what to do.   How would we handle convincing the heads of households to support the cause and ours for that matter? We had already done much to ensure the protection of the city would be handled cleanly and organized and now all our hard work could end up going down the drain simply by the death of a single figure.   I, unfortunately, had to rely on...questionable tactics. I convinced Lady Alta that we would need to use the humans and their magic as much as I despise the idea. The humans were burning things down when they were stuck to only using their primitive torches and I can only imagine what they would be able to do. Unfortunately, not all humans are people.   Some are simply just monsters.   The ones who killed ours for pointy sticks? Well, I will have to admit I dont expect to be looking at them as people anytime soon.

Nallin's Bad Day

Nothing for weeks at this damned post with Vivo, and then everything explodes.     I see Arry traveling with Sillia, with a dwarf no less, and find them desecrating the Dwarven stone in Sonopra lands. When I made my way back to the cave the group had disappeared behind a door and left a child in the dark. A Human Child! Worst thing is the child spouts about wolfmen and murder.   What has Arael gotten himself into?
