The Black Fox of Pandemonium Document in The Centurion's Riddle | World Anvil

The Black Fox of Pandemonium

This scrap of a document is covered in scrawling, barely legible text, with a second, print-like hand scribbled in the margins, attributed to Albus Rickette. The note appears to be damaged by the effects of the Gap. Scanned and processed for the public by the Holy Church of Sarenrae. Original document on file at the Radiant Cathedral.

Grimal's son wanted a slave,
Thus Sparrow Witch gave him a babe.
Golden Hawk asked for three plums,
Thus Serpent bore to him three sons.
White their children, fear thy name,
The White Owl's son was far from tame.
Black Fox born of Chaos screams,
And gentle wind to bear your Dreams.
Fur like silk, eyes like opium,
Howling Beast of Pandemonium.

Albus' Note
I found this tucked away in one of my notebooks, but I have no memory of ever reading it... Perhaps the document came to me on a whim -- or ________ is getting lazy with my library again. It is clearly linked to the White Owl, but I don't know of this "Black Fox", or its ties to Pandemonium -- a common name for the planes where Chaos and Shadow meet. - Albus Rickette
