Targular

Targular, the Prince Behind the Wall, was a Great Old One of immense power, and one of the few of his brethren to ever manifest directly in the Material Plane. Old scripture claims that Targular slumbered at the border of all things, and was destined to break through as his eyes opened. He boasted an impressive following as recently as a century ago, which increased in number as he began to press upon the mortal realms.
Much to the dismay of his legion, Targular's glory ended abruptly when the Ritualist spoke his True Name, and absorbed his filtered essence into her flesh. While it is still unclear how such a ritual could be possible, the Great Old One vanished without a trace, and his cults have since disbanded.
