Jun Zhao is considered one of the best Drift engineers in the galaxy, known for several dozen breakthroughs in Drift Engine technology that pushed the boundary of what's possible in interstellar travel.

Personal history
The Stewards having been keeping this guy under wraps for years. I haven't even been able to find out his birthday, just the year. Every state record of him has been scrubbed, all travel logs purged. It's like he has his own personal Gap every three or four years, despite his popularity in the Technomancer circles. It took me ages to figure out that Abelina Tremont was his granddaughter -- at the time, I didn't even know he had children.
Seldom is publicly known about Jun Zhao's younger years, other than his attendance of Striving Technical University, after which he began a long career of research and innovation. Although he is publicly listed as a resident of Aballon, particularly Striving, he is an accomplished traveler, having survived over a hundred expeditions to the Vast in his lifetime.
He retired in 312 AG due to his failing eyesight, which he refused to have repaired by the latest in medical technology, citing personal reasons.
Although the two are not linked publicly, the Dream Team knows that Jun is the grandfather of Abelina Tremont, and that he trained her in the art of Technomancy and Alignmatism. In 317 AG, he and Abelina signed a 30-day contract with the Dream Team and Valentina Terris to help the crew reach Golarion, acting as engineers for their Accessing Beacon.
While their initial interactions were peaceful, both the group and Abelina grew steadily unsure of Jun Zhao, which came to a head during the final battle between the Children of the Forge and the Aspis Consortium. The Alignmatist revealed his true colors as a servant of House Marcus, allowing Alexander Marcus to escape with an unconscious Valentina, and then whisking his granddaughter away to continue his "experiments". He has not been seen since, but the Dream Team is fearful of what he intends to do with Abelina...
Employment
Jun Zhao was employed by the Stewards for roughly five decades, where he worked on Drift technology in public, and headed the SS Iron Drake project in secret. He was the lead designer for Lockette Endrinmaster the 1st through Lockette Endrinmaster the Xth, until he abandoned both the project and the Stewards, citing a lack of progress with "synthetics".
Morality & Philosophy
Although not known to the public, or the Dream Team upon their earliest encounters, Jun Zhao is entirely driven by his interests, and thinks little of the moral ramifications of his actions. He is perfectly willing to sin in the name of progress, and it appears that no taboo is too great. This was made readily apparent during a peak into his old journals, which implied that Jun Zhao secretly arranged the marriage between his son and Abelina's mother -- who possessed the ability to see Alignments without training.
Those journals were buried on an asteroid out in the Vast, guarded by a fairy ring and at least a dozen oozes. He definitely wanted the information kept secret, but why not burn them? May imply a character flaw surrounding his research...
He then used his own abilities to manipulate Abelina in the womb, purposely pushing her specialization towards war magic -- a gift the small child was incapable of controlling. After Abelina accidentally crumpled her parent's car during a peaceful road trip at the age of two, Jun Zhao considered the early experiment a rousing success, caring seemingly little for the loss of his son or daughter-in-law.
