Gardener Character in The Centurion's Riddle | World Anvil

Gardener

While considered male by most of his clergy, the Gardener has no known form, and is often depicted as the product of his work. He is the Saint of gardens - bastions of nature in the harsh landscape of space. The Gardener's work can be found across both the galaxies and the planes, and are often maintained by his followers as places of worship and refuge.   The Gardener is close allies with the Beekeeper and the Colony, as both aid in nurturing the many ecosystems he surveys. He is regularly visited by the other Saints, and is considered a master mediator.

Blessing of the Gardener

Range: Single Source, Any Uninhabited Location Up to a Mile Radius
Action: 24 Hours or Reaction (See Text)
Duration: Instantaneous   When invoking the Blessing of the Gardener, the caster is surrounded with an aura of twirling leaves and blooming flowers. As part of a ritual that takes a full-day of uninterrupted meditation, the caster produces a golden seed of light, which will embed itself into the nearest soil bed and burst to life. It will create the beginnings of a Garden, which provides a sustainable living environment for most creatures after two to three months.   Alternatively, this ability can be activated as a reaction, which rapidly creates a cage of vines and leaves around the caster and all creatures within 120 feet. Regardless of environment (including lava, deep sea, or even space) the inside of the garden cage is habitable for all creatures, and lasts for up to 24 hours, or until a creature exits the cage.
