Boneyard Geographic Location in The Centurion's Riddle | World Anvil

Boneyard

The Boneyard is the great necropolis that lines near the astral center of Tyrnog, and is the place where all mortal souls go to be judged by Pharasma and her aids. It is the home of the Aeons and Psychopomps (including Deaths not aligned with Abaddon), as well as the dread moon Groetus.

Geography

Nestled on "top" of Pharasma's Spire rests the vast expanse of the Boneyard, which is represented by a dark, rocky plain covered in graveyards, tombs, and dead trees. It marks the end of the River of Souls and the River Styx — the former of which descends from the Astral Plane, whereas the latter worms its way up from Abaddon.   In the center of the Boneyard lies the palace of Pharasma, which is surrounded by her many courts that act as both a small city and a representation of the fates that await mortals in the Outer Sphere. Other notable locations include the Lake of Mortal Reflections, where souls may go to consider rebirth, and the Spirelands — where content mortals decide not to seek one death over another, and live out their lives tending to idyllic fields and the stones in the Graveyard of Souls.
