Theramiston II Geographic Location in The Bubble | World Anvil

Theramiston II

Colonised in 3705 after the Bubble had burst, Theramiston II lies a full five hundred light years from Sol in the direction of the Barren Reaches. The Kylushia Isles. Ten thousand alien pseudo-azalea flower just above the shorelines. Their heavy blossoms add a rich cinnamon fragrance to the warm salty breezes blowing over the wine dark tropical ocean.

Tamella came when the bright red texololys bushes were in full flower, their sweet aroma lying heavy on the warm sea breezes blowing over the Kylushia isles. The daughter of the new ambassador from High Welling had no idea of the diplomatic incident she would unwittingly provoke. No more than the seed for a possible story I may develop later...

Technical notes : The last image here is an old one made back in 2003 and at the time it used a little bit of every piece of art creation software I'd got. Learning how to make it, pushed my knowledge and the capabilities of my hardware and was a step forward in complexity over anything I'd tried before. The background was created in Terragen from my Theramiston II world. Tamella was constructed, dressed and accessorized in Poser with a combination of free and purchased resources. The sprig of "texololys" on the deck was my own model generated with the excellent (and free) Plant Studio and also textured by me. All the models were taken into Bryce where the ship superstructure was modelled, lighting adjusted and the complete composition rendered against the Terragen background to achieve the integrated lighting effects on the glass mast head and metal reflections. A mask image was also rendered from Bryce. Finally the foreground and background were recomposited in photoshop to use the sharper original background in the final image and to tidy up Tamella's hair.
