Corrupted Koans Document in The Bubble | World Anvil

Corrupted Koans

Published at Little London on the planet of Haven in 2437 by Blue Heron press, "Corrrupted Koans" is a famous collection of short works of linked poetry, consisting of three sets of haiku known as the morning, evening and night verses, broken by a series of musings cast in the form of zen koans but said to be derived from oblique meditations recounted to the author on journeys with the Counter Xarctic Traders. These he declared to be the "corrupted" koans. The work also borrowed, with permission, from other authors, specifically including a simple verse called "Re-Entry" which was attributed to T.J. Orman. Almost one hundred and fifty years later, this short piece enjoyed a brief vogue when it was used as a voice over in the titles of a wildly popular interstellar thriller series called "No Way Home" that ran throughout the Bubble in the 2560s at the time when the Solar Group and the Republic were engaged in hot and cold wars.
