Human

Held together by the Architect's structure, animated by the Heart's Rhythm, and driven by the Majesty's Glory, it is in humanity that creation finds its most absolute union. It is fitting, then, that we have spread to control more of the world than any other thinking creature.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans are a species of terrestrial bipeds.   Their builds can vary greatly between populations—short to tall, short to stocky, and so on. Humans primarily cool their bodies through perspiration, which is uncommon even among mammals.   Humans are capable of incredible endurance, capable of surviving hours of intense exhaustion. Additionally, humans possess dramatic healing abilities, able to recover from broken bones and significant blood loss. These traits are rivaled only by those creatures with arcane abilities or properties.

Additional Information

Social Structure

One of humanity's most prominent features is the formation of large and inter-connecting social systems. Most individuals participate in a familial unit—two or more adults, their children, and potentially livestock and/or slaves—as well as a community—in which individuals interact with those from other familial units. Few individuals interact with persons outside their community directly, but they can and do influence each other economically and culturally. This is almost always overseen by an authority—some form of government—which can apply restrictions to interactions between people, and compel them to perform certain behaviors.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Humanity is known to inhabit most of those parts of the world which are even remotely inhabitable. They populate the entirety of the continent, save the swamps of Lo, and the lowlands of the Nukaru Valley. Additionally, they comprise a majority of the sentient populations of the continents of Pelekath and Krytor, as well as a significant minority of those of Dulnoom, Raketon, and Zadroga.
