Ravsic Orndel
Ravsic Orndel is a disgraced engineer of the Greefolk, living in self-imposed exile in The Shales. Once a promising innovator within the Greefolk clans, Ravsic’s career was destroyed after a failed experiment caused a catastrophic refinery fire, killing several workers and costing his clan a fortune. Cast out as a scapegoat, he now supports himself repairing and repurposing gree-powered machinery for anyone willing to pay—no questions asked.
The Pillars occasionally seek Ravsic’s expertise, knowing his skill with Gree tech rivals that of "legitimate" engineer. While he agrees to their requests, he keeps their ideology at arm’s length, focusing on survival rather than allegiance. Ravsic’s pragmatism masks a simmering bitterness toward those he views abandoned him. The Pillars’ rhetoric about reclaiming tradition and dismantling the city’s corrupt systems strikes a chord with him, but his mistrust of all factions prevents full commitment.
