Fera Nollyn
Fera Nollyn is a machinist-alchemist whose constructs push the limits of industrial ingenuity in The Shales. Her homunculi are not delicate works of art but robust, mechanical creations built from gree-infused metals, riveted brineglass, and salvaged scrap. Each construct is powered by a small Gree vapor engine housed within reinforced steel plating, its movements guided by a lattice of intricately etched glyphs. These machines clank and hiss as they perform tasks ranging from hauling heavy cargo to operating dangerous machinery. Fera's workshop, located near The Gasheart , thrums with the mechanical heartbeat of engines and grinding gears.
Fera’s ambition lies in perfecting autonomous constructs—machines capable of reasoning and adapting without human oversight. Her work has garnered both admiration and suspicion. A few members of The Argent Accord supply her with resources, eager to monopolize her innovations, while The Harrowfield Institute regularly inspects her workshop to ensure her creations don’t spiral out of control. Each new prototype is an industrial marvel, but also a potential disaster: her constructs have been known to overheat, collapse, or, disturbingly, act unpredictably.
