Uguhlati Species in The Black Thorne Continent | World Anvil

Uguhlati

They are rare types who survive in the desert, able to live and thrive in areas with limited vegetation.

They can survive eleven days without water, the manner with which their bodies produce fat being uniquely designed to not only hold heat but retain water, something which by their diet, can make their size fluctuate heavily. Their survival is created through their ability to produce a chemical of their skin, which hardened and produces a chalk like layer which keeps them cool without losing moisture.

They retain water and comfortably hold their chalk for hours longer than other races, the chalk acting like a protective layer.

The chalk is also a means to earn money as it can be used as very effective fertilizer.

The chalk they produce is by far the most fertile and almost chemical in nature. Able to enrich dead soil.

Footpath’s are something created by killing the soil in one direction, but with the Uguhlati paths where the soil is the richest.

This phenomenon is often called an emerald road.
