Structure

Blood and power.

The clan has an honour system of democratic control. Leadership is decided purely through elections. A vote given to every Blood Wielding member of the clan.

Blood wielding is a member status created to mark their right to own. Without it, one cannot be considered responsible for themselves, let alone sovereign. Which is why the righthood ritual tradition is normally done during puberty and is a sign of adulthood.

If you weild 'Blood' you'll normally wear a marker of one's individual clan. This includes coming forth and declaring a clan of your own, which, of course, is a part of the 'breaking ceremony', which gives honour and sovereignty to the 'body'.

The 'Blood' is the individual.

The 'Body' is the group.

The purpose of the 'Body' is to let the 'Blood' flow. The 'Body' must, by no means, halt the flow of 'blood' and must be replaced if that is ever at risk. Because their rule system is so limited, many clans act independently but will come together to enforce a greater need.

These congregations tend to be extremely rare. It originally, led to many an issue as they found themselves needing institutions that would protect their right to their god-given freedoms. These institutions are hated and considered a needed evil. But in the name of the body they are willing, barely, to pay tax in order to keep themselves alive.

They are not creatures of tradition but are all united followers of "The Path".
This is their own version or closest representation of church. Though they do also follow the nature doctrine that many of the Sedi people follow.

The 'body' and those who rule are considered the high nobles of the clan, that despite them being subject to change by vote. There are dozens of clans inside of the Togu House but there are five leading houses in land ownership, wealth and votes.

The Lilo being the leading clan across most Sterena of the Jongiwe tree, with them having fingers touching across to other trees too.

The Lilo clan have kept control for a long as twenty years. Despite talks of freedom, they tend to look after their own first, only breaking away when wronged or out of desperation. Historically this was born of need but soon became the way despite the positive relationship between the Chui.

Their grand weapon is their greater physical strength.

History

Are one of the few Sterena who are proudly accepted within Sedibeng. The head House, of all others, are not accepted well, they are also the only means with which any other Sterena houses are accepted.
