The Basis of All Magic Power

Life in itself is magic. It can not be resurrected or replicated, making it unique to all creation. Trying to understand life in itself has brought forth the knowledge of life in motion and the in-built will survive otherwise known as life force.
To live is posses life force and therefore and therefore some magical ability. Life force is the raging river that sparks inside of the body. It surrounds us and everything that poses life. Those with good enough knowledge and sight can see it. It flows out of the body's pores like steam from a hot spring. The invisible entity inside every living thing which gives off life force is what is called the soul. Everything that lives, grows old and dies possesses a soul. From the smallest microorganism to the largest and oldest redwood.
A living breathing soul is a continuously growing energy source that is contained and sustained within a living body or host. The body or host is called the vessel or container. The soul and the vessel depend heavily on each other to continue to exist and grow. One cannot exist and grow. One cannot grow while the other withers.
The body feeds the soul by feeding itself and the soul feed the body by allowing to body to grow and gain strength.
The soul doesn't stop at growth and strength, it has so much more to give of itself and that is where magicians or wizards take center fold.
A magician or wizard uses his or her mind and body to access the soul's final gift, itself.
To use magic is to manipulate and extend your own life force beyond it's usual boundaries.
To manipulate your own life force requires a great knowledge of your own soul, an ability to balance the link between your soul and your own body and a basic knowledge of the elements around you and how to use your soul to effect them.
