Zook Ningel

High Artificer (a.k.a. Cogspitter)

Zook "Cogspitter" Ningel is an elderly, musty old gnome who is continually followed by scribes armed with long feather quills and tomes as he wanders the halls of the church-cum-museum, Garl's House of Wonder in Ambercove, where he is the head curator.
Occasionally, Cogspitter randomly spurts out an idea in the middle of a conversation, causing a wave of scribbling to flutter across the scribes.
His nickname was earned thanks to his habit of storing stray cogs in his cheeks and spitting them at unruly scribes.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Zook is short, with a long white beard almost as long as he is. He has a bald head and very hairy ears. Over his rather large nose a pair of golden spectacles are perched.
He wears saffron robes with a golden belt.
Zook is a nervous creature, full of tics and twitches.

Notable Achievements

Zook has managed to create a unique and unusual collection that draws crowds from miles away, even those who are not interested in the religious workings of the church.
