Vurmush Shiresh Character in The Azure Sea | World Anvil

Vurmush Shiresh

Vurmush Shiresh is a mysterious man of dark skin who hails from west of the Balnoque Spine. His background remains a mystery, but his deeds as a member of the Order of the Profane Soul of Blood Hunters are legendary.   Rumours persist that Vurmush is of Aasimar ancestry, some strange mix of celestial and demon blood running through his veins.   This mighty warrior is said to have been raised in the city of Scald, where he was raised as a member of the Jundiun alongside the Tiefling sorceror, Sorrow.   This quiet giant is often considered the second-in-command of the Blood Hunters, subservient only to the wisdom of Redgrave.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Incredibly tall and hugely built, Vurmush gains the attention of any room. At first glance he appears to be a dark-skinned Goliath, but on closer inspection that impression is quickly disavowed.   His skin is charcoal in colour, his chest branded with glowing arcane runes of fire, his head bald and framed with a long white moustache and beard; but it is his eyes that are most unusual - fiery coals that glow with their own inner flames.   Vurmush's armour is jet black, rimmed with gold, and is large and bulky half-plate covered in spikes. He wields a sword with a six foot blade as lightly as a nobleman's rapier.   Despite his appearance, Vurmush is a quiet and gentle soul who prefers to listen and take things in, rather than voice his own opinions.
