Krag
(a.k.a. The Scholar)
Krag is the keeper and gravedigger of Saltmarsh's cemetary, to the north of the Temple of Procan. He keeps the large boneyard, and the memorial stones of those who have died at sea, well-tended and looks after it like his own little kingdom.
Locals often refer to the Half Orc as "The Scholar", perhaps sarcastically, for Krag fancies himself an expert on local history and lore. He also considers himself somewhat of an amateur sleuth. Regardless, he is certainly well-read, for in his spare time he helps organise and translate the library of Eliander Fireborn, with whom he is close friends.
Krag takes an interest in the histories and lives of those interred in the graveyard, and this feeds into his quest for more knowledge.
Appearance and Mannerisms
Short for a Half Orc, Krag is still stocky and well-built thanks to his hours tending the graveyard of the Temple of Procan. He is a slightly ostentatious character, and wears a tall, black velvet top hat and a black velvet overcoat to match. The coat and the buckles of his shoes shine brightly, though much of his clothing is tattered and covered with mud stains. His skin is ochre in colour, and the teeth that jut up from his bottom jaw are yellowed. Krag talks in a most unusual way, that can put those who do not know him off their guard. He is known to have a sincere dislike for other Half Orcs, though none know why.Notable Achievements
Krag's attempts at amateur sleuthing once lead to the unmasking of a killer that had been terrorising the town. He discovered that the killer had been using poisoned Akfruit after finding some seeds of the fruit near one of the victims. Together with his friend Eliander Fireborn he set a trap for the killer, who turned out to be working on behalf of a smuggling gang.
A short, unusual half-orc who works in the graveyard of Saltmarsh. He dresses in an ostentatious black velvet tailcoat and tophat.
