Ilkix Strikeclaw

In the cold and snow-covered town of Drakenham The Wyrm's Claw tavern is an austere stone establishment. It is also the only place outsiders are permitted to stay whilst in the town.
The proprietor of the establishment is Ilkix Strikeclaw, an old, retired, merchant gold dragonborn.
The name Strikeclaw was once well known across the breadth of the Western Commonlands, as trade caravans bearing the name of the Strikeclaw Merchant Company plied their trade. Ilkix made a fortune along the way.
The staff are distant to non-Dragonborn and look on visitors with some suspicion. Still, the place is clean and well-appointed, and the Drakenbeer ale is refreshing, if potent and strange tasting.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Ilkix is large, even for a Dragonborn. His golden scales are polished to a gleam, his long eyebrows and moustache are preened to perfection, and his clothing is always ostentatious and expensive.
He carries a short ebony stave around with him which is mounted with a blue crystal globe. It is said the stave allows Ilkix to tell when someone is lying to him.
The innkeeper is a proud and ebullient character, though his vanity can be a little too much to take at times.

Notable Achievements

At one time the Strikeclaw Merchant Company was one of the most successful trading businesses in the Western Commonlands, it's merchants taking ore from the mountains and from Koldor's Hold across the lands.
After his retirement ten years ago Ilkix purchased The Wyrm's Claw tavern, and disbanded the trading company, his vanity not allowing him to see another take it over.
