Captain Callous

Captain Callous is the notorious tiefling pirate Captain of The Devil's Fin and feared by merchant vessels up and down the western shores of The Azure Sea.
The sight of his ship on the horizon, singularly recognisable due to it's bright red paint scheme and it's vicious iron ram, will send most other vessels fleeing for the nearest port. The lucky ones escape, and the rest either die or live to tell the tales of the horrific treatment to which their crew was subjected. Callous is renowned for the sadistic joy he shows when he takes another ship for its plunder.
Tales abound regarding the Captain. Most agree that his tiefling bloodline harks back to Asmodeus himself! Other tales speak of him disappearing in a burst of flame after attacks.
Callous' crew are as notorious as the tiefling himself. His First Mate is a lumbering ogre, named Anka. This lumbering ogre is missing one arm, and forged onto the stump of the missing limb is a huge anchor, which the creature uses to steer the ship’s wheel.
The Captain's relationship to the Hold of the Sea Princes is unknown. It is believed that his is a privateer who operates mainly in the northern and western reaches of The Azure Sea, though he is known to have worked directly for them from time to time.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Callous is a tall, ashen-skinned tiefling with eyes like glowing embers. He wears a tricorn hat atop his head, behind two long, curled horns that protrude from his forehead.
He wears a long leather trenchcoat, and leather breeches that are cut off at the knee to reveal thick, hairy goat-like legs. Behind his coat, a long, pale tail constantly lashes from side to side.
Captain Callous is known for shouting out insults to those he fights, goading them into attacking him. He carries a large pistol and is said to be a deadeye shot with it.

Notable Achievements

None know exactly the total value of plunder taken by Captain Callous, but it is said to be at least in the tens of thousands of gold coin.
Callous has often bragged of wishing to be the most feared pirate alive, and he is well on his way to becoming so.
