The Wax Garden

Located in the city of Goroma, The Wax Garden is the guild hall for The Effulgent Order of Chandlers. It also serves as public attraction in which one can view a wide array of gorgeous plants that are completely sculpted from wax.

The Effulgent Order of Chandlers

The order which specializes in candles, soaps, and oil is quite important to the territory, as they control all man made methods of artificial illumination. The Structuralist society in which the guild operates emphasizes hard work, long hours, and study in order to fulfill humanity's potential. Technology like candles or lamps plays a vital role in facilitating these goals.   The Wax Garden is a meeting hall independent of any individual members's factory or shop. This neutral territory is where chandlers meet to discuss the needs of Goroma as well as nearby towns like Byssal Sound and Bellwether, and how to best serve those needs. Prices are also set based on a vote, and members must remain within 10% of the agreed upon threshold. This allows owners the ability to properly meet their neighborhood's unique financial situation without creating conflict with other guild members. The efficacy of this is debatable.

Public Attraction

During non-meeting hours, the Wax Garden serves as a public attraction because of it's unique decor. Throughout the hall are a variety of plants and flowers all sculpted from wax by guildhall members and their staff, and painted by members of a local artists collective. These masterworks have fooled even the keenest of eyes, while inspiring viewers both young and old with the possibilities of man's creative genius.   The Structuralist Church speaks highly of The Wax Garden, which artistically replicates the beauty found in Nature, while replacing its unappealing chaos with the kind of order only humanity can provide. There are talks about whether or not is possible to create a faxsimile of a human model, while maintaining the same true to life details currently found in the Wax Garden. Indeed, there are several Framers in the Church who would jump at the chance to have their likeness immortalized in The Wax Garden.
