Addiction

Addiction is a condition in which someones mind starts to become dependant on a certain substance. People suffering from The Great Loneliness are more likely to become addicts. Whilst almost all drugs are legal over the age of 18, addiction is a serious issue, and therefore those with The Great Loneliness are recommended not to take the drugs. 
Artificially Intelligent machines can also become addicts, to substances such as Lag, which is a machine drug.

Affected Groups

Whilst anyone can become addicted to anything, the most common substances to become addicted to are drugs such as GLXY, Spark-pills or, for machines Lag, so those who take drugs such as those are at more of a risk of becoming addicted. Those who are suffering from The Great Loneliness are more likely to become addicted than those who aren't.
