Valaa is a star system owned by the
Commonwealth of Man . It has four planets and one star. Valaa is the second system colonized outside of the
Sol System.
Planets
Valaa contains three planets.
Hel
Hel is large, molten planet that is completely scorched by the heat of the system's sun.
Vale
Vale is a large gas giant with a thick methane atmosphere. The planet orbits very close to its parent star and supports a system of large rocky moons.
Heimdall
Heimdall is a small, muddy planet. There are no oceans, instead much of the surface is covered with a shallow layer of water. A single large moon creates a strong tidal effect, essentially making the entire planet a tidal mudflat. Microscopic plants live in the mud, giving it a brown-green colouration in places, and dark purple in others. The planet experiences regular flooding, and there are a few places high enough to remain dry. Heimdall has small amounts of untapped Tethaetine hidden underground, adding to the planet's value. Some hopeful miners have established small towns, hoping to strike a vein. Heimdall's largest industry is agriculture, and the planet is able to field huge amounts of food with proper draining techniques.
Freya
Freya is a small, continental planet mostly covered by high rising skyscrapers. Most of the small planet is covered in huge streets and massive, towering buildings. It is regarded as a premium spot of living, its citizens enjoying its massive production of consumer goods and thus making Freya a place of the latest fashion trends, business endorsers, media attention, and popularity among colonists. Freya is called the colony of 'passion' for its many opportunities and vices.
