History

The Kelgorions are considered to be lesser Vanghouls as they’re a mixed breed.
They’re born from a Vanghoul who reproduced with either an elf or a human.
This makes them much more alike elves and humans in regards to body structure.   The First Kelgorion
Being forced to live in purgatory on the Vanquished Island, the Vanghouls have built their home out of the resources available. One of the curses looming upon this island is a mist that draws anyone who enters it, towards the island. This makes escaping it much more difficult, but possible if they’re aware of how the mist works. Over the ages, this has led countless sailors to be shipwrecked on this island. The Vanghouls utilized this opportunity to salvage as many materials as possible, but also to use any survivors as a form of reproduction to increase their population. However, once they realized that mating with an elf or a human resulted in a lesser variant of the Vanghoul, they thought of a new way to utilize them. These spawns would be used as slave workers for the clans.
  A New Life
After almost a century of living as slaves, the Vanghouls changed their ideals towards the Kelgorions. Instead of forcing them to be their slaves, they would grant them a home in the southern part of the Vanquished Island. The Kelgorions were able to build villages and live much better lives, but they still had to serve the Vanghouls. They were now tasked with salvaging shipwrecks, harvesting lumber, minerals, and gathering supplies. In return, the Vanghouls offered protection against invading elves.
Spoilers from the Scourge of the East
Completely unaware of what was going on at the Forsaken Mountain on the north side of the island, the Kelgorions lived as usual until Nekada arrived. The Bloodfist Warlord had information regarding elves who had entered the island, but how many and where was unknown. He informed them about the critical situation they all were in right now, with the human forces having a foothold in the north and the added issue of the elves. There was something that didn’t feel right and he had decided to bring units down to the village. Nekada then took his leave and returned north to gather more Vanghouls. Later on, when Nekada returned, he was accompanied only by Malisha Sargorian. The mountain was lost and all the Vanghouls left in the north had been massacred by the humans. The few groups of Vanghouls who had been stationed here were the very last ones of the species. The village elders together with Nekada and Malisha formed a pact. With the situation being as dire as it now was, the Kelgorions and the Vanghouls would unite under the Vanghoul Clans. Malisha was appointed to train these new recruits for the cause. They would become a clan of their own called the Blood Hawks.
