Personal history
Born 13th of January, 1685.
Feregreth Sorrowhill, Captain of the Stormhold Navy, is the firstborn son of Hector Sorrowhill. He was born and raised in a blacksmith's family in the kingdom of Arkanvail. From an early age, he deviated from his father's footsteps and enrolled as a Squire to Sir Edgar Redwood of the knighthood, Lancet of Defiance. Feregreth served the knighthood for many years to come until the Northcoast Siege upon Arkanvail took place. With his mother, Miriam Sorrowhill killed and his order wiped out, he joined forces with the Stormhold Navy who came to the kingdom's rescue. He was taken under the wing of an officer by the name Declan Lowe, who would become his mentor. The stable alliance between Arkanvail and Stormhold at the time was in favor of military exchange, and so, Feregreth's life was upheaved. As years passed, Feregreth's service to the Stormhold Navy inevitably changed his view of the new allegiance. After the Siege of the High Tides, his endurance and skill had earned him the title of Captain.

In 1714, Feregreth Sorrowhill was assigned to take part in a covert operation to eliminate the hostile Vanghouls. His role as Captain was to navigate the waters alongside the Navy in an attempt to drive the Vanghoul forces to the country of Scayles. The original plan, however, was abruptly changed when the hostile fleet lured Stormhold onto the reeves of the Vanquished Island.
Shipwrecked on this uncharted island, Feregreth came ashore a fair distance away from the rest of his men and was forced to survive on his own. He later met an elven girl by the name of Fraya Aeran’thil, who was also on this island, but for a different reason. Teaming up to unravel what was really going on, Feregreth and Fraya pursued the Vanghoul Overlord, Gathon Bloodfist. After trying to understand the critical situation they were in, they decided to regroup with Stormhold at the ruined city of Al’huran.
On their route to their destination, they joined forces with a couple of deserters from the Vanghoul faction. The former Overlord, Arthouras Vordrath and War Commander, Malisha Sargorian. Once they arrived at the encampment, Stormhold was being attacked by monstrous animals referred to as Scourged Creatures by the Vanghouls. Assisting the humans in this battle, the two Vanghouls were allowed in to negotiate a truce between the factions. Unfortunately, the Stormhold General had no intention of allowing any form of reconciliation. He was instead doing what was necessary for the Vanghouls to give up their war tactics.
The Stormhold camp was later attacked by a Vanghoul unit led by Nekada Bloodfist, the younger brother of Gathon. The humans were pushed back to the coast, but Feregreth and Fraya took most of the Vanghouls with them into the forest in an attempt to save human lives.
Feregreth and Fraya eventually lost the Vanghouls when they fell into an underground river. Almost losing his life from being submerged by the heavy armor, Fraya managed to save the Captain’s life. Only hours later, the two were found by Elder Ni’rosh Aeran’thil of the Elven Covenant, Fraya’s grandfather. She was immediately taken away by elven rangers and Feregreth was left with the furious elven leader, who shared that the Stormhold King, Marcus Fall had arrived at the island as well. Taking his leave, Feregreth had to return back to his men and his duty.
Regrouping with the King at the foot of the Forsaken Mountain, Feregreth readied himself alongside Declan Lowe, his mentor for one final assault. Barrels of black powder were brought into the mountain city and placed alongside the weak points to ensure a complete collapse. With no hesitation, the General ordered the men to slaughter anyone who would try to escape from their impending doom. Declan and Feregreth, however, fought against this plan as there were civilians trapped who had nothing to do with this war. They managed to buy some time as they found out that Stormhold soldiers were being held captive within the city. Nevertheless, this did not change the General’s mind and he secretly ordered the men to carry out the mission regardless of the fact that Declan and Feregreth were already in the city. However, things took a tragic turn when Gathon figured out that Feregreth was helping the prisoners escape. Declan knew that his prodigy, Feregreth, would not be able to outrun the Overlord, and therefore he took it upon himself to ignite the explosives.
Being able to escape with the prisoners in time, Feregreth was filled with anger and sorrow over the sacrifice his mentor made. In his eyes, this was all the General’s fault. He met up with the army and traveled back to the coast, knowing that the Vanghoul species had been annihilated. After everything that had happened, Feregreth was awarded a position in the Royal Guard of Stormhold by King Marcus. Accepting this position, he was given an estate in the Noble District of the Kingdom, and he gave his absolute loyalty to the Fall Dynasty.
